St. Mary of the Lake University
St. Mary of the Lake University and Seminary is a must-see place. As you drive up the stretch of University Avenue, you will be mesmerized by the woodlands, and at rare times, may be treated to a pleasantly surprising welcome by a small herd of deer. The place is openly beautiful, yet mysteriously attractive. Here you are embraced by peacefulness and may even be tempted to give in to solitude.
For this shoot, I took the trip just before snow was supposed to arrive in Chicagoland, taking advantage of the gorgeous, 52 degree Fahrenheit-in-January-in-Chicago weather. But even as I write this, and post my photos I can hear it calling...beckoning me to visit again.
